Specific Socio-economic Profile Data: Statewide & County Specific Reports Available
The Economic Profile System (EPS) is designed to allow users to produce detailed socio-economic profiles automatically and efficiently at a variety of geographic scales using Microsoft Excel software. Profiles contain tables and figures that illustrate long-term trends in population; employment and person income by industry; average earnings; business development; retirement and other non-labor income; commuting patterns; agriculture; and earnings by industry. This EPS system was developed and produced by the independent, nonprofit research group - Headwaters Economics. Their mission is to improve community development and land management decisions in the West. While the focus of the EPS system is on the Western states, we feel there is relevant potential application for other areas of the United States as well.
